The North Devon Union Lodge of Mark Master Masons 540 has a busy evening at their recent meeting in Ilfracombe. The main labour of the evening was for the Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Ian Pollock, to undertake the Advancement of their newest member. Worshipful Brother Ian and his team performed an excellent ceremony which the candidate, Brother Carl Duke, enjoyed immensely.

Witnessing this ceremony was Brother Dean Stewardson, who had been recently advanced into the nearby Benevolence Lodge of Mark Master Masons 1264 in Bideford. It was his first visit to another Mark Lodge and was suitable impressed by the welcome he received.

The Provincial Grand Secretary, Worshipful Brother Robert Palmer, who was attending the meeting, was then able to perform the wonderful task of presenting them both with their Mark ties on behalf of the Provincial Grand Master. Pictured are the Provincial Grand Secretary along with the newest brethren of the Province, together with the Worshipful Master and brethren of both Lodges.

Whilst he was on the floor of the lodge, he also presented Brother Paul Mannix with his Grand Lodge certificate, having been advanced into the North Devon Union lodge at their previous meeting.
