I would like to welcome you all to Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Masonry in Devonshire and to our new website which I trust you will find informative and interesting.
Mark Masonry was established in Devonshire in June 1857 when the warrant was issued to Fortescue Lodge No.9 followed by St. George No.15 on 15th October 1857 and the Province of Devonshire was consecrated on 11th December 1857.
The Province has just celebrated its 150 years of continuous working, which makes this Province the oldest recognised Province in the Order.
The Province now consists of 46 Mark Lodges.
The Ancient and Honourable Degree of Royal Ark Mariners came under Mark Grand Lodge in 1870 and the first Royal Ark Mariner Lodge in this Province was Sincerity No.35 which was warranted on 25th September 1873 and to date we have 19 Lodges.
This site also gives details of the Executive and Provincial Officers together with our Charity Organisations and future events and will be updated on a regular basis.
Mark Masonry in Devonshire continues to grow in popularity with our membership increasing over the recent years.
After visiting this website if there are any Craft Masons who wish to join our Order, or any present Mark Master Masons who are considering joining the Royal Ark Mariners, please click on the link.
In conclusion, may I thank you for your interest and I hope that you will visit our site again.
