The brethren of Unity Mark Lodge 783, who meet in the Masonic hall in Crediton, held their second consecutive Advancement ceremony recently. The lodge opened in due form with Worshipful Brother Phillip Mitchell, who, after conducting the normal business of the lodge, led his team of officers in a wonderful ceremony. Brother Paul Newcombe was advanced into the order in an excellent demonstration of ritual, with Worshipful Brother John Musty delivering an exceptional rendition of the signs and secrets.

Following the ceremony, the brethren of the lodge then not only undertook a ballot for a re-joining member, but also a ballot for a new candidate for Advancement. They also presented a Grand Lodge certificate to Brother Richard Densham, who was advanced at their previous meeting. A wonderful display that this lodge is on the up as far as membership is concerned.
Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory to enjoy a wonderful display of harmony and fun, a fitting example of the atmosphere at Mark meetings.
