The proclamation meeting took place recently at the Elliot Lodge of Mark Master Masons 169 in Plymouth, with the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Christopher Elliott, presiding. He was accompanied on this occasion by Right Worshipful Brother Peter Hawken MBE, Past Provincial Grand Master and Right Worshipful Brother John Clendinning, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master. A plethora of Grand Officers escorted them, including Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother Martin Smith, Provincial Grand Chaplain, Worshipful Brother Bill Philip, Grand Junior Deacon; and Worshipful Brother John Hipwell, Grand Steward and Provincial Deputy Grand Secretary.

They were joined by several Provincial Grand Officers, duly escorted by Worshipful Brother Gilson Rowe, the Assistant Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, namely Worshipful Brother Barry Purdy, Provincial Grand Senior Warden, and Worshipful Brother Robert Hendy, Provincial Grand Junior Warden, together with all three Provincial Grand Overseers, namely Worshipful Brother Andrew Hall, Provincial Grand Master Overseer, and Worshipful Brother Robert Truesdale, Provincial Grand Senior Overseer.

The Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Alex Lee, was duly proclaimed as part of the installation ceremony, and he then went on to appoint and invest his officers.

Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory to enjoy a super festive board, in the company of great friends.
