The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, was the Presiding Officer at the recent installation ceremony in Plymouth at the Spencer Mark Lodge 1495. He was accompanied to this meeting by Very Worshipful Brother Martin Smith, Past Grand Junior Overseer and the Provincial Grand Chaplain, Worshipful Brother Bill Philip, Grand Junior Deacon, Worshipful Brother John Hipwell, Grand Steward, and Worshipful Brother Gilson Rowe, Assistant Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies.

They were further accompanied by a number of Provincial Grand Officers, including Worshipful Brother Barry Purdy, the Provincial Grand Senior, together with Worshipful Brothers Andrew Hall and Robert Truesdale, the Provincial Grand Master and Senior Overseers.

The main business of the evening was to see the proclamation of the Worshipful Master for a further year. Worshipful Brother Wilf Rickard, the Director of Ceremonies within the lodge, proclaimed the Worshipful master, Worshipful Brother Wayne Liddle, for a further year, who then went on to appoint and invest his officers. The addresses to the Wardens and Overseers were given in an excellent manner by Worshipful Brothers Barry Purdy and Bob Truesdale respectively. The address to the brethren was given impeccably by Worshipful Brother Bill Philip.

Following the excellent meeting in the temple, the brethren retired to the refectory, where they enjoyed a wonderful festive board together.
