A wet day didn’t stop Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen, the Deputy Chair of the Devon Mark Charity Association, from going out to present a cheque to the South West Blood Bikes for Devon. The charity has recently suffered due to rising fuel costs driven by unrelated external factors, and this donation will therefore help keep them on the road. There are 140 volunteers in Devon, and none receive any remuneration. The charity receives no funding from central or local government, so it has to raise all its income itself. Pictured are Worshipful Brother Garry alongside Steve Dower, the Chair of the South West Blood Bikes for Devon.

The bike Steve was riding that morning is the one supplied by the Degree of Mark Master Masons through the Mark Benevolent Fund. The emblems of the degree are clearly seen on the panniers, and Steve stated that he makes a point of taking this bike to any presentations or meetings that he attends.
