The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, joined the brethren of his lodge, the Ashburton Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 1038, recently to enjoy a fun filled evening.

The first labour of the evening was to witness to excellent ceremony of Elevation of Brother Michael Shields. The ritual was carried out in an exemplary manner, with special mentions going to Worshipful Brother Bill Daw, R.A.M.G.R., for the signs and secrets, Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen for the Working tools and Worshipful Brother Tim Hobday, Prov. R.A.M.G.R.,  for the explanation of the steps.

Following this ceremony, the Provincial Grand Master welcomed the newest member of the lodge to the Ancient and Honourable fraternity and then presented him with his Provincial tie. He was also able to present a Grand Lodge certificate to Brother David Wilkinson, the explanation of which he undertook in an excellent manner.
