The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, was present at the Lodge of St Simon of Mark Master Masons 1116 recently for a special ceremony of Advancement. The meeting of this lodge took place at the Masonic Temple in Exmouth. He was accompanied by Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and Worshipful Brother Christopher Elliott, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master. There were also many senior brethren, who are both heads and members of orders within Devonshire, joining them at the meeting, to witness is wonderful occasion.

The ceremony was undertaken by the Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Tony Parker, a former Scribe Ezra in the Devonshire Province of the Royal Arch, and excellent his team of officers. The candidate, Brother Anthony Eldred, who is one of the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters within the Craft Province of Devonshire, was advanced in an immaculate and heartfelt manner.

For all those attending the meetings of this lodge, it continues to demonstrate the commitment within Devonshire, by ensuring that all the orders continue to work closely together, bringing friendship and harmony across the Province.
