The Provincial Grand Masters “Magic of the Mark” initiative within the Province of Devonshire has been running well over recent years, promoting the pleasures and significance of the Mark Degree within Mark Lodges to prospective candidates during a period of calling off. More recently the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, with the blessing of Worshipful Brother Nicholas A. Ball, Provincial Grand Master of the Craft and Grand Superintendent of the Royal Arch within Devonshire, has been able to allow his Demonstration Team to attend craft meetings and operate in the same way.

The brethren of the team recently attended the De La Pole Lodge 1181, and with the permission of the Worshipful Master and his Officers, the lodge was called off and they undertook the first demonstration evening of the year. The evening, organised by Worshipful Brother Robert Summers, was well received by the brethren present, including a Brother who had travelled some distance to see the event as well. Overall, it was a warm evening of freemasonry where brethren showed togetherness and friendship across all degrees.
