The first visit was to the Province of Monmouthshire which was lead by the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David C. Purdie. He was accompanied by Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, the Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Grand Master Overseer.
He joined 15 other Provincial Grand Masters outside in the sun for their usual photograph, and sadly this was also the last occasion for the Provincial Grand Master from South Wales, Right Worshipful Brother Thomas Richard Eirian Jones, to join them as he was retiring at midnight.

The following day, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, lead a small delegation into Mark Province of South Wales recently, to attend their annual meeting.

The highlight of this meeting was to see the installation of their new Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Phillip Davies, which was undertaken by the Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother John H. Prizeman.
The meeting, which was held in a packed Grand Temple at the Cardiff Masonic Hall, was opened by the Past Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Paul Clement, who then welcomed the Pro Grand Master in due form, to a resounding sound of acclamation. The Pro Grand Master in his usual style of professionalism and solemnity, mixed in with the enjoyment and humour that the occasion deserved, then proceeded to install Right Worshipful Brother Davies into the chair of this fine Province.
After the Pro Grand Master had retired, the Provincial Grand Master then appointed his executive, in the persons of Worshipful Brother Alun Thomas, Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Very Worshipful Brother Martin Jones as the Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
After the meeting closed, the brethren retired upstairs to enjoy a fun filled festive board, and some convivial conversations in warm surroundings with many old friends meeting up. It was also an opportunity to catch up with the Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master from the Mark Province of Cornwall, Worshipful Brother Mike Pritchard, and Worshipful Brother Mark Nicholls, the Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies, both regular visitors to our Province.
