Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, joined the brethren of the Lodge of St George 383 in Plymouth recently for their installation meeting. He was accompanied on this occasion by Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Grand Master Overseer, Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen, the Provincial Grand Senior Warden, and Worshipful Brothers Nigel Frude and Dr Alan Howlett, the Provincial Grand Master and Junior Overseers. The were joined by several other Grand and Provincial Grand Lodge officers both present and past.

After opening the lodge and welcoming the Provincial team, the Worshipful master, Worshipful Brother Mark Ormrod presented two cheques totalling £350, as donations to both the Devon Mark Charity Association and the PGM’s special fund.

Worshipful Brother Mark then went on to install his successor, Worshipful Brother Gareth John, in an eloquent and immaculate ceremony, who then went on to appoint and invest his officers.

After the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory and enjoyed a festive board with much camaraderie and humour.
