Brethren from the Unity Mark Lodge 783 recently made a charitable presentation on behalf of the Devon Mark Charity Association, to the Crediton and District Playscheme for Children with additional needs. Worshipful Brother Philip Eakers, the Immediate Past Master of the Lodge, attended their committee meeting, along with Worshipful Brother Alan Tonkin, and presented a cheque for £250. This donation will assist the charity by helping them provide much needed safety equipment for the members. The volunteers within the charity take the children away on fun and interesting trips or activity days, whilst at the same time giving their parents a well-deserved break and respite from their caring duties.

Being such a worthy cause, the brethren of the Unity Mark Lodge had already made a separate donation to the charity from during Worshipful Brother Eaker’s’ year in the chair, and it was wonderful to see the DMCA providing additional support.
