Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, attended the Plympton Erle Mark Lodge 1100 at their installation ceremony recently as the Presiding Officer. He was accompanied on this occasion by Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and the Grand Master Overseer, and Right Worshipful Peter Balsom, the Past Provincial Grand Master.

They were further accompanied by an array of Grand and Provincial Grand Officers, both Present and Past, including Worshipful Brother Julian Turner, the Provincial Grand Junior Warden, and the three Provincial Overseers, namely Worshipful Brothers Nigel Frude, David Richards and Dr Alan Howlett, Master, Senior and Junior respectively.

The Worshipful Master welcomed the Provincial Party, and before commencing with the main part of the evening, presented two cheques to the Devon Mark Charity Association and the PGM’s Special Fund, for £550 each, which made a charitable total raised by this lodge of £1100.
The ceremony of installation by Worshipful Brother Colin McKenna installing his successor, Worshipful Brother Mark Newcombe, was conducted in an excellent fashion, who went on to appoint and invest his team for the year. It was also highlighted that a further candidate for advancement was in the pipeline, providing another positive step for this lodge.
Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory and enjoyed a sumptuous festive board.
