The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, attended the installation meeting of the Strode Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 1495, meeting in Plymouth. He was accompanied by Worshipful Brother Gilson Rowe, Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, and Worshipful Brother Bill Philip.

During the meeting, Worshipful Brother Jim Kirby proclaimed Worshipful Brother Cyril Whittaker as the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. The Worshipful Commander then went on to present a cheque for £300 as a donation towards the Devon Mark Charity Association. A wonderful donation from such a small lodge, who continue to work in the proud way they do, receiving the enjoyment of such a wonderful fraternity.

An additional piece of good news for the lodge, is that there is a candidate for elevation lined up for their next meeting.
