The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie was delighted to attend the Ashburton Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 1038 recently when they elevated their newest candidate.

The ceremony, which was carried out by Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen, the Worshipful Commander, was undertaken in an excellent manner, ensuring that the traditional meanings and story of this Ancient and Honourable fraternity were passed on to their newest member with sincerity. Bro Ian Adams, who is a member of the both the Devon Mark Lodge 215 and the St Andrews Golf Mark Lodge 1370, found the ceremony and interesting throughout.

Following the ceremony, the Provincial Grand Master welcomed Brother Ian to the degree and wished him many enjoyable years within the Ashburton Lodge.
