The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, made his way to the Sincerity Mark Lodge 35 in Plymouth recently to preside at their installation meeting.

He was accompanied on this occasion by a large Provincial team including Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Grand Master Overseer, and Very Worshipful Brother Ron Smerdon, Past Grand Junior Overseer.

 

 

 

The highlight of the evening was to witness the installation of Worshipful Brother Robert Sheldrake as the new Worshipful master of the Lodge. The last time he held this office was in 2008. The ceremony was carried out in an excellent manner by the outgoing Master, Worshipful Brother Barry Slade, who is also the Head of the Allied Masonic Degrees of Devon and Cornwall. The new Master then went on to appoint his team of officers, before more than 40 brethren attending retired to the refectory for a wonderful festive board.
