Brethren of the Dartmouth lodges recently combined their forces to support a young and courageous musician in the local area. Lola Wearne, who suffers from an incurable genetic eye condition, enjoys playing music and is striving to become the best she can be, despite the condition she suffers from.

The Dartmouth Mark Lodge 737 and Hauley Royal Arch Chapter 797, recently donated cheques for £250 and £256 respectively. This was supported by the Devon Mark Charity Association who donated a further £544, generating a total charitable donation of £1050. This donation was to be used towards her continued musical development and progress, including her Grade 1 examination taking place this summer.

Lola is also being supported by one of the local craft lodges, the Courtland Lodge, and together, we all wish her well with her ongoing specialist Eye Treatment at Moorfields Hospital in London.

Lola is pictured here with her family and representatives of the lodges.
