The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, was invited to join the brethren of the Benevolent Mark Lodge 316 in Teignmouth recently for a special evening. He was joined by Very Worshipful Brother Gerry Rooke, Past Grand Junior Overseer and member of the lodge.

The lodge being opened, then undertook a ballot for honorary membership in the name of our Provincial Grand Master. After being unanimously voted in favour, the acting Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Roger Farrow, welcomed Right Worshipful Brother David into the lodge. The Provincial Grand Master responded briefly to thank the brethren for the kind honour that had been bestowed upon him and would look forward to joining them at their meetings in the future.

The lodge then undertook an advancement ceremony, which was expertly undertaken by the Worshipful Master and his team of officers, welcoming Brother David Holland into this wonderful degree in a very memorable occasion for him.

Following the meeting, before retiring for the festive board, the Provincial Grand Master joined the newly advanced candidate, Bro David, and brethren of the lodge for a photograph of the occasion.
