A wonderful evening was held at the Ashburton Mark Lodge 1038 recently, which was their first since their installation ceremony last November.

The main attraction of the evening was to see the new Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother Stephen Michell, advance the latest candidate for their lodge. The Worshipful Master and his team performed an excellent ceremony, and the newest member of the lodge, Brother Tristan Allen, was welcomed in fine form.

It was also a chance for some of the Past and Present Directors of Ceremonies to get together. Present on this occasion were Worshipful Brother Barry Purdy, the Lodge DC, Worshipful Brother Gilson Rowe, the Provincial Assistant Grand DC, Very Worshipful Brother Ron Smerdon, the Past Provincial Grand DC and Worshipful Brother Roger Farrow, the Provincial Deputy Grand DC. With the calibre of these brethren present, it is no surprise that the evening went without a hitch.
