Brethren within the Plymouth Area joined together for a Christmas Party at the Manadon Masonic Hall recently. The aim of the evening was to raise funds for the Annual donation to the Gables Dogs and Cats home in  Plymouth.

Organised by Worshipful Brother Bill Philip, the evening was a great success raising a wonderful amount for the donation to this worthy cause. Worshipful Brother Bill assisted by some wonderfully dressed helpers, including a heavenly visit from Worshipful Brother Gilson Rowe as this years “Friar Tuck”. The Provincial Chaplain can rest assured that he does not have to be concerned about a take-over bid.

It was lovely to see so many brethren with friends and family enjoying this festive evening, suitably dressed for such an occasion. Over the evening, the raffle raised an amazing £675, which was all going towards the traditional Christmas donation.

A few days later, Worshipful Brother Bill was again joined by some of his little helpers, namely Worshipful Brothers Gilson Rowe and Paul Jones, as they delivered essential supplies of food, bedding, blankets and toys to the Gables Dogs and Cats Home, totalling £1000.

There was an additional cash donation of £100, as well as numerous chocolates for the staff to enjoy over this festive period.
