Remembrance Day ceremonies take place across the world, with London’s Whitehall being the focus of attention. Worshipful Brother Jon Webber, our Provincial Grand Junior Overseer and Assistant Provincial Grand Secretary, regularly travels to London to participate in this parade alongside comrades from his previous military life, and the 1000’s of other veterans marching to remember the sacrifices given.

This year, two of his other long-standing friends, Worshipful Brother Mark Nicholls, Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies, and regular visitor to Devonshire, joined him for the weekend, whilst Worshipful Brother Michael Caseman-Jones, the Assistant Grand Secretary, joined them on Horseguard’s Parade, as all three of them were former members of the Corps of Royal Military Police.

It is an honour for any veteran to march in the parade at London and shows that the bonds of military friendship are just as close to the bonds of Mark masonry. The brethren are confident that there were many other Mark Men present in the parades across the world this weekend, honouring the service and sacrifices given by so many.
