The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, joined the brethren as the Presiding Officer at the St John Mark Lodge 50 in Plymouth recently, for their installation ceremony. He was joined on this visit by Worshipful Brother Robert Palmer, Grand Steward and Provincial Grand Secretary, Worshipful Brothers Barry Purdy and Robert Hendy, the Provincial Grand Senior and Junior Wardens, and Worshipful Brother Robert Truesdale, the Provincial Grand Senior Overseer. Another special guest that evening was Right Worshipful Brother Geoffrey Issacs, Past Provincial Grand Master for Cornwall.

During the evening, Worshipful Brother John Orr was proclaimed as the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year and proceeded to appoint and invest his officers for the year.

The addresses were all given in an excellent fashion by the Presiding Officer to the Master, Worshipful Brother Hendy to the Wardens, Worshipful Brother Truesdale to the Overseers, and Worshipful Brother Palmer to the brethren.

Following an excellent evening, the brethren retired to the refectory to enjoy a wonderful festive board, with the sound of enjoyment and laughter that is so common at meetings within our order.
