Right Worshipful Brother David Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, was joined by many brethren from the Province of Devonshire, who braved the storms and flood waters, and sailed up to the Royal Ark Mariner Grand Assembly to celebrate the appointments of those receiving the honours of Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank. The Provincial Grand Master was joined on this voyage by his Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, Right Worshipful Brother Peter Balsom, the Past Provincial Grand Master, and two of this years active Grand Officers.

The temple was filled with brethren from not only the UK, but also from around the globe, including Holland, Germany, India and South Africa. 

It was a delight to be able to support our own brethren who were receiving their honours from the Pro Grand Master, who was presiding.

Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the Grand Connaught Rooms for wonderful festive board, with great company, fun and laughter that goes with our fine order. Our very own Worshipful Brother Bill Phillip took on the mantle of the senior service by offering to be the wine waiter, whilst our Assistant Secretary managed to catch up for a group photo with some of his military acquaintances, before they parted and made their weary way home.
