It was a wonderful occasion at the Dartmouth Lodge of Mark Master Masons 737 recently, when the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David C. Purdie joined them for their meeting.

During the meeting, the Lodge bestowed Honorary memberships on three distinguished members of the Province, namely Right Worshipful Brother David Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, along with Right Worshipful Brothers Peter Hawken and Peter Balsom, both Past Provincial Grand Masters.

The main item on the agenda, however, was to undertake the ceremony of Advancement. Worshipful Brother Phillip Allwood, the Worshipful Master, and his team performed an excellent and heartfelt ceremony, when they advanced Brother Adam Humphreys into the Lodge. It was poignant because his father is a serving member of the lodge, Worshipful Brother Michael Humphreys, P.Pr.G.M.O., and was able to participate on such a wonderful evening.

Following the meeting, the two generations joined our Provincial Grand Master and the Worshipful Master, together with the brethren at a wonderful festive board.
