The Provincial team were out in Torquay this week to support the brethren of the Jordan Mark Lodge 319 with their installation.
Leading the team were the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, and he was joined by Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Grand Master Overseer, Worshipful Brother Paul Howard Baker, Grand Senior Deacon and Provincial Charity Steward, along with other holders of Grand and Provincial Grand rank.

The lodge was opened in fine form by Worshipful Brother George Tricker, who, at the grand age of 92, had stepped into the role of Worshipful Master following the sudden passing of the Master to the Grand Lodge above just under a year ago. After welcoming the Provincial Team, Worshipful Brother George handed the lodge over to Worshipful Brother Chris would who acted as the Installing Master for the evening.
During a wonderful installation ceremony, Worshipful Brother Stephen Rattlidge was installed into the chair of Adoniram, having returned to the chair after many years supporting his lodges. He invested Worshipful brother George as his Immediate Past Master, making this such an experienced team taking the lodge forward.

It was a wonderful moment during the ceremony when Worshipful Brother Stephen invested Worshipful Brother Chris Pugh as his Tyler. This moment was more poignant as Chris had been Stephen's first candidate for Advancement when he was first in the chair in 1985

Following the meeting the brethren retired to the refectory to enjoy a wonderful festive board, where 30 brethren enjoyed the fun and happiness that is always found at Mark Master Masons meetings.
During the speeches, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master not only congratulated the new Master for his installation and wish the lodge well for the forthcoming year, but then went on to congratulate himself for winning the spirit draw !!.
