The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David C. Purdie, travelled to North Devon to visit the Lodge of the West Gate of Mark Master Masons recently.
Accompanying our PGM on this occasion were the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Assistant Provincial Grand Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Past Provincial Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Peter Balsom, and the Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries also the Grand Master Overseer, and Worshipful Brother Paul Howard-Baker, Grand Senior Deacon.
The intention of the visit was to enjoy a working of the ceremony of Advancement by the newly appointed brethren of the lodge under the direction of their new Worshipful master, Worshipful Brother Michael O'Meara.
It was also an opportunity for some of the Active Officers of the year, to get together before the summer recess, and to enjoy each others company as their year in office will soon be drawing to a close
An excellent evening was enjoyed by all present.
