The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David C. Purdie, travelled to Manchester recently to celebrate the completion of the MBF festival for 2024 being held by the Mark Master Masons of the Province of Cheshire.

Amongst those accompanying our PGM were the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Provincial Secretary Worshipful brother Christopher Elliott, and Worshipful Brother Paul Howard Baker, Grand Steward and our own Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Very Worshipful Brother Bill Humphries, Grand Master Overseer and Past Provincial Grand Master, and Worshipful Peter Morgan, Past Grand Assistant Director of Ceremonies.

The setting for this festival celebration was the amazing Concorde Conference Centre, at Manchester Airport. The celebration feast took place under the wings of the iconic and legendary piece of British aviation history, which is still fitted out completely inside as it was on its last flight.

The province throughout their festival raised a staggering £1,158,150 for the Mark Benevolent Fund. It is always remarkable to see the positivity when a Province raises more than a million pounds for the MBF at their festival, as we are fully aware, with ourselves being the first Province to achieve this milestone in 2016.

Also pictured at the celebration evening with our Provincial Grand Master, is a good friend to our Province, namely Right Worshipful Brother John French, the Provincial Grand Master from the Province of Surrey.
