The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother David C. Purdie, and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, took time last week to venture out on their Motorcycles to rendez-vous with the members of the Province of Cheshire, who were undertaking their "Van Van" Motorcycle challenge from Lands End to John 'O' Groats in aid of their 2024 Festival. Whilst with them our PGM presented Worshipful Brother John Miller, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master of Cheshire Mark Masons, with a cheque towards their festival from the Brethren in the Province of Devonshire.
Being the hospitable Province that we are, they took along some Devon style cream scones, to allow the brethren to compare them to the ones from Cornwall provided by their Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Peter Furness, the day before.
After they had tried them, they took a vote but were unable to decide which one was better, but explained that they both tasted as good as each other. A true representation of sporting behaviour from our brothers in Cheshire, although we all know that a good foundation gives great support to the keystone, hence the cream comes first to support the jam
