The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, was joined by 28 brethren of Grand and Provincial Grand rank at the recent Installation of the Pleiades Mark Lodge 675 in Totnes. The entourage joining our DPGM included Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Peter Hawken, Past Provincial Grand Master and Worshipful Brother John Betts, this years Grand Steward.
Unfortunately the Worshipful Master himself was unable to be present, so the Installing Master for the evening, Worshipful Brother Andy Hall, undertook this assignment with gusto. He installed the new Master, Worshipful Brother Jeromy Wilks, in what can only be described as an immaculate manner. The ceremony was undertaken in a warm and sincere manner, with the new Worshipful Master stating later how much he had enjoyed his installation.
The addresses to the Master, Wardens, Overseers and Brethren followed the same vein and were recited with emotion and cander.
The Worshipful Master also presented cheques on behalf of the lodge for £750, going to the Devon Mark Charity Association, on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund.

Following the Installation of the new Master, the APGM, who was presiding, presented a Patrons Collarette on behalf of the Grand Master to Worshipful Brother David Lloyd.
The Worshipful Masters first duty was then to receive their music system donated by the Mark Province of Devonshire, which was presented by Worshipful Brother Colin Day.

The brethren then retired from the lodge and made their way to the Seven Stars Hotel for a wonderful festive board. It was highlighted how much laughter was present and why the Mark degree is seen as the fun degree.

During the festive board, the usual raffle was held, and in fine tradition luck falls on the righteous, with our Deputy Provincial Grand Master winning not just the Hamper, but a bottle of bubbly, and a Teddie for loving care which will be donated to a child in need or discomfort.

The brethren then made their way home having enjoyed a great evening with great company around them.
