Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, was joined by 80 Brethren at the Installation ceremony of Lewis Mark Lodge 1284, including a very large number of Grand and Provincial Grand officers.

There were some very illustrious brethren attending including Very Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Brothers David Lee and Jeff Attwood, Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Past Grand Junior Overseer respectively, and Worshipful Brothers Nicholas A. Ball, the Provincial Grand Master, and Andrew Vodden MBE, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master both for the Craft within Devonshire.

The meeting was opened in fine form by the Worshipful Master Paul Hughes, who is currently the Deputy Grand Superintendent in the Holy Royal Arch within Devonshire. He welcomed the Provincial Grand Master, and presented him with an amazing cheque of £750 for the Devon Mark Charity Association.

W.Bro Paul then went on to install his successor, Worshipful Brother Mark Bowes-Cavannah, in excellent form, who was moved and honoured to be installed into the chair of this fine lodge. 

  

After appointing and installing his officers, the Worshipful Master asked the PGM to present W. Bro Paul Hughes with his Past Masters Jewel. The PGM then continued to present 2 Grand Lodge certificates to recently advanced brethren.

The lodge was closed in due form, and the brethren then made their way to the Anchorage Hotel nearby for a wonderful festive board.
