On 4th January 2024, Right Worshipful Brother David Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, attended the premises of  Community Equality Disability Action (CEDA) in Exeter.

CEDA is a registered charity providing learning and social opportunities for disabled children and adults. They run educational classes, specialist therapy sessions and support their clients to live their fullest lives, both at the centre and on a 1 to 1 basis in their homes.

R.W.Bro. Purdie attended to present a cheque on behalf of the Mark Benevolent Fund which has enabled CEDA to purchase the specialist Acheeva bed featured in the photo. 

It's a very versatile piece of equipment which CEDA did not previously possess. The majority of the adult clients are permanent wheelchair users and this bed gives them the opportunity of leaving their chairs and taking part in activities in a totally different position. It is in use every day and, as you will see from the picture, Emily and her fellow clients are delighted with it.

It is so pleasing to see where our charitable giving goes, how much it is appreciated and the pleasure it gives.

Also pictured are some of the staff with one of their young ladies, who is now benefitting from this amazing bed.
