A number of Mark Lodges in the Plymouth area raised £720 over the year to help the Gables Dogs and Cats Home in Plymouth, and the brethren recently delivered over £600 of well needed supplies to help them through the Christmas period. The donation consisted of assorted dog and cat food, and biscuits, along with cash donations, blankets, towels and washing powder. Thanks from the staff at the centre to all the brethren involved from the various lodges, and in particular for them arranging with the logistics and delivery of the supplies.
Worshipful Brother Bill Philip, P.G.Std.B. who organises this each year will be visiting the home again soon, with more donations that are still being received from brethren around the area, who were unable to make the fundraising dinner. It just shows that no matter what the circumstances are, Mark Master Masons will still be there to give and support those who need it, whether they have 2 or 4 legs.
Well done to Charity 76, Plympton Erle 1100, Brunswick 48, Hawton 100, and Elliot 169 to name but a few.
