The Immediate Past Master, Worshipful Brother Paul McCormick, recently attended the Moorland Community Caring Charity and presented them with a cheque for £200 as the chosen Charity by the outgoing Master.

A response from the charity was subsequently received:

Dear Mark Lodge Ashburton,

I write on behalf of the Trustees and team at Moorland to express our deep gratitude for the £200 donation.

The money will be used to benefit our clients in the community. Half will be donated to our Memory Cafe in Ashburton - held on the first Tuesday of the month at St Andrew's Church Hall) and the other half donated to the Moor Social Group - held twice monthly at the Town Hall in Ashburton. We have several attendees who struggle to make a donation, so this will directly help someone in need of company, a warm space and connections with others.

Both groups serve homemade food and offer activities.

Thank you again - we rely so heavily upon donations to support the social groups and your donation is very appreciated.

PIctured are W.Bro Paul and Jayne Edwards, the Manager of Moorland Community Caring, with the Cat (remaining anonymous).
