The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, joined brethren of the Devon Mark Support Team, at the most recent "Magic of the Mark" evening.

This latest meeting was held under the banner of the Amity Lodge of Mark Master Masons 849, and 10 potential candiates attended the meeting from the East Devon and Teignmouth.

The lodge opened in the normal way and then was called off to allow the potential candiates the opportunity to enter the temple.

The evening involved a presentation and demonstration about the degree of Mark Master Masons by the Devon Mark Support Team. The demonstration team, consisting of W.Bro's Mark Rodd, Jim Davis and Jon Webber were ablely lead by W.Bro Paul Watson who narrated the presentation in excellent form.

These potential candidates were, upon completion of the presentation, given the opportunity to ask questions, after which they then retired from the temple, and the lodge was called on to conclude its business

These brethren were able to assemble afterwards in the refectory, before the festive board, and then discuss mark masonry further with the Brethren from their lodges and the DMST team.

It was a great chance for them to see the friendliness and companionship of our order, and the whole evening was well recieved with some very enthusiastic responses from them all. A total of 8 application forms were received on the night, with the other 2 candidates submitting their forms at their respective lodges

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master wishes to thank the Worshipful Master and all the brethren of the Amity Mark Lodge for allowing the DMST team to come and use their normal meeting to promote Mark Master Masonry within the East Devon Area
