The Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful David Purdie, was joined by his Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, and holders of both Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank and Provincial Grand Rank, when he recently attended the 50th Anniversary function of the True Love and Unity Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 1159 in Brixham.

The meeting started with the Worshipful Commander, Worshipful Brother Ben Larcombe, handing over the sceptre to the Provincial Grand Master, who then assumed the chair of Noah for the celebration.

 

The Dispensation of the meeting was read, followed by the warrant of the lodge being read by Worshipful Brother Christopher Elliott, Prov.R.A.M.G.R., the Provincial Grand Secretary.

A very interesting history of the lodge was then delivered by Worshipful Brother Malcolm Hensman R.A.M.G.R., followed by the oration, which was read by Worshipful Brother Martin Smith R.A.M.G.R.

  

The 50th Anniversary warrant was then read and presented to the Worshipful Commander by the Provincial Grand Master.

The members of the lodge then gathered for a commemorative photograph.

The evening concluded with a fine festive board attended by 45 brethren, which was held at the Churston Golf Club.
