The Province recently hosted their Annual Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay, attended by more than 250 brethren. The meeting this year was held under the banner of the Unity Lodge of Mark Master Masons 783
Right Worshipful Brother David Charles Purdie, the Provincial Grand Master, was joined by a number of highly distinguished guests who had travelled from other provinces to celebrate our brethren who were receiving honours.

The Provincial Grand Lodge was opened in due form and a delegation of Royal Ark Mariner Commanders were welcomed into the meeting under their Provincial banner.
A moment was then taken by all present, as the names were read to remember who had passed to the Grand Lodge above during the past year.
After the normal business had been completed, the Provincial Grand Master, had the honour to invest those receiving Provincial Grand active rank appointments, as well as the brethren receiving first appointments and promotions to Past Provincial Grand Rank.
The Provincial Grand Master then invested those brethren who had been honoured to receive Provincial Rank within the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of Royal Ark Mariner

The Provincial Grand Master then addressed the meeting, praising not only the achievements of the province in the last year, but also his visions for the future challenges we face within the order.
The meeting was concluded and the Province then hosted an excellent festive board, where brethren enjoyed the company that this degree provides.
