Earlier in the year, the Devon Mark Support Team, lead by our Assistant Provincial Grand Master Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, undertook the Magic of the Mark Recruitment evening in Bideford.

That evening a number of potential candidates for advancement attended and enjoyed the presentation.

As a result, a brother was advanced last week in the Benevolence Lodge of Mark Master Masons. He subsequently told a friend how good the Mark degree is, and this brother is now waiting to be advanced along with another candidate. 

The Lodge of the West Gate recently advanced one of their attendees from that evening, and they have the other two remaining attendees to advance at future meetings.

Worshipful Brother Robert Palmer, the Provincial Grand Junior Warden, who was present at the original meeting, stated that the Magic of the Mark meeting has had a long lasting legacy within North Devon, and the Lodges are continuing to benefit from it.

Future Magic of the Mark evenings are booked for the Torbay area on Monday 25th September in Torquay, and East Devon on Monday 20th November in Exmouth

We would encourage all lodges within those areas who have a potential candiate within their craft lodges to bring them along to their respective evenings, thus allowing them the opportunity to undertand more about this wonderful degree and to see the positive attitude and enjoyment found at our meetings.
