The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro David Purdie, accompanied by our Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro Brett Varker, joined the brethren of Ashburton Mark Lodge in undertaking a double advancement. It was the first time the lodge had performed such a ceremony

The lodge had recently held a white table "Magic of the Mark" event hosted by WBro Rob Summers, which proved a success with 4 potential candidates coming forward. The first 2 candidates were advanced into the lodge with an excellent ceremony, and throughoughly enjoyed the symbolism of the ceremony and its meanings.

The Brethren of Ashburton are now looking forward to future ceremonies with the remaining candidates, and the Worshipful Master WBro Paul McCormick saying it was a positive sign for the future growth of the lodge, and maintaining the friendly degree that we all enjoy.
