The cold start to the year and warnings of snow and taxi protests did not deter the delegation from the province, lead by our Provincial Grand Master, travelling to London for the first quarterly communications meeting of the year. Once again an opportunity was had by all to meet old friends whilst making new acquaintances in the splendid background of Great Queen Street
The meeting commenced with the usual splendour of the processions and was opened in ample form by M.W.Bro. John Herbert Prizeman, the Pro Grand Master.
Following the proposals for the business elements of the meeting, it was then called off by the M.W. Pro Grand Master, and the brethren present were able to greet many recipients of donations by the Mark Benevolent Fund into the Grand Temple. It was evident on the faces of those being received into the temple, that they found this to be a very moving and yet happy moment, as they were welcomed with tremendous applause.
All present were then treated to a number of presentations showing how the donations from the Mark Benevolent Fund had been used across the country to help others. The final speech was very moving by one of the ladies from Romania involved in supporting the Ukrainian refugees over the last 12 months. Following these presentations and speeches, the recipients were then processed out of the temple, again to rapturous acclamation and applause.

The meeting was then called on and closed formally in due form.
Afterwards we all retired to the Grand Connaught Rooms for the festive Board and refreshments, prior to returning back to the province later in the evening.
