The Lodge Master Jerry Bawden accompanied by  Lodge Secretary Tony Ingram recently called in for coffee and a chat with widow Yvonne at her home in Yelverton, to present on behalf of the members, a handsome framed copy of Dave captured in his Mark Regalia.

The Photo of a much loved husband and Mason was well received. as a permanent and valued reminder of merit.

Worshipful Brother Dave Allen was advanced into Russell Mark Lodge No.23 on 10th September 2013. He was soon into the chair becoming Master in March 2016 where he served for two years.  He had a consumate skill in the ritual, enhancing many ceremonies. On leaving the chair he doubled as Immediate Past Master and Treasurer in 2018, until his untimely departure. He received honours as Past Provincial Grand Registrar for his contribution to Mark Masonry.

David Leonard Allen, was born in Enfield on July 19, 1942 he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in February 2020. Always positive and optimistic he fought his battle bravely.

A Chartered Electrical Engineer who took retirement at age 51. He enjoyed life in his retirement and took most of his pleasure in the simple things of life; his family and entertaining, his garden; his dogs, walking on the Moors and of course his Masonry. Dave was a dedicated and passionate Freemason.

Dave will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, sense of humour and a smile that would light up any room.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne, his daughter Jayne, son Jeff and grandson Harrison.
