Worshipful Brother Garry Kitchen, the Provincial Grand Senior Warden and the Deputy Chairman of the Devon Mark Charity Association, was joined by Worshipful Brother John Pritchard, from the Hawton 100 Mark Lodge recently, presenting charitable donation cheques to a local charity.

They visited the Yelverton Community Projects, who operate a support group in the area transporting residents to medical and other appointments, shopping, etc as well as running a monthly cinema in the village hall. This is a charity staffed totally by volunteers. Mr Ric Cheadle, the Chair of the Trustees of Yelverton Community Projects joined the brethren, on lovely a sunny day, in an impressive children playground that they run.

Worshipful Brother Garry presented two cheques, one for £500 from the Devon Mark Charity Association and £250 on behalf of his Craft lodge, The Lodge of Integrity 4098. Worshipful Brother John presented a cheque on behalf of the Hawton 100 Mark lodge for £100. It was also interesting to hear that the charity had also recently benefitted from a grant distributed by the Devonshire Freemasons WAKE Fund for the sum of £1500.

The donations will be used to assist with the provision of a roundabout capable of use by those children who are wheelchair bound.
