More than 30 brethren travelled to the beautiful coastal town of Brixham recently to see the True Love and Unity lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 675 undertake a double elevation ceremony. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Christopher Elliott, who is the Immediate Past Commander of the lodge, was present to witness this ceremony, which is a rare occasion within this fine degree.

Amongst those attending was a good number of holders of both Royal Ark Mariner Grand and Provincial Grand Rank, together with both the Deputy and Assistant Provincial Grand Secretaries.

The Worshipful Commander, Worshipful Brother Philip Allwood, assisted by his excellent team of officers, performed a wonderful ceremony, elevating both Brothers James Leader and Christopher Jones in an excellent manner.

Following the ceremony, both of the newly elevated brethren were welcomed into the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, who brought his best wishes and welcome from the Provincial Grand Master. He then presented them with their Provincial Ties.

Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory where they enjoyed an excellent festive board. During the speeches, both candidates thanked the brethren for their support and encouragement, and both said they looked forward to enjoying this wonderful degree.
