Worshipful Brother Brett Varker, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, was the presiding officer at the recent installation of the Benevolence Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 1264 in Bideford. He was accompanied by Worshipful Brother John P. Clendinning, the Past Deputy Provincial Grand Master.

The main event of the evening was to see Worshipful Brother Werner Lothmann installed into the seat of Noah. On this occasion, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master accepted the sceptre of the lodge on behalf the Worshipful Commander, Worshipful Brother Anthony Farrell, who was unable to be present due to illness. He went on to perform an excellent ceremony installing Worshipful Brother Werner in fine form, who then invested his team of officers for the year.

Following the meeting, the brethren enjoyed a wonderful festive board together.
