The brethren of the Sir Francis Drake Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners 617 undertook an elevation ceremony at their recent meeting. Joining them at the meeting were Worshipful Brother Bill Daw, R.A.M.G.R. along with several other distinguished brethren who are current heads of orders, namely Worshipful Brother Nick St John White, Intendant General of the Red Cross of Constantine for Devon and Cornwall, Worshipful Brother Richard Thomas, the Provincial Prior for the Knights Templar of Devon and Cornwall, and Worshipful Brother Gary Peard, District Grand Master for the Royal and Select Masters of Devon and Cornwall.

  

At the helm for this meeting was the Worshipful Commander Worshipful Brother George Bennell. He steered his crew, who were assisted by members of the Devon Mark Support Team, namely Worshipful Brothers Garry Kitchen and Gilson Rowe who stood in as his sons, to perform an excellent ceremony whereby they elevated Brother Sean Clench in fine form.

Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the refectory enjoying a wonderful festive board alongside their newest member.
