No doubt the founders of the Lodge would have been proud to know that the Lodge has continued in great strength since its founding and through its members has contributed to the development of Mark Masonry in Devonshire.
The special Centenary meeting was also honoured with the presence of R.W.Bro Stephen Davidson, The Assistant Grand Master, supported by the Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro. Jonathan Roberts as well as the Grand Secretary W.Bro Ryan Williams (although, due to a tedious journey with many delays) W.Bro. Ryan arrived after the start of proceedings but in good time for the festive board. He was heard to say that it might have been quicker to get to Plymouth by bicycle! Our Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro Peter Balsom was accompanied by his Deputy W.Bro David Purdie and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master W.Bro John Clendinning as well as an almost complete set of active Provincial Officers and Grand Lodge Officers, not to mention our Past Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Peter Hawken, President of the General Board all being guided under the direction of the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro. Lee Taylor.
The Citation was presented by W.Bro. Chris Elliott, Provincial Secretary, an Oration was given by W.Bro Martin Smith, Provincial Grand Chaplain and the Centenary Warrant was then Presented to V.W.Bro. Colin Bond the Worshipful Master. A proud day in the life of the Lodge.
The atmosphere was one of complete joy and excitement in the busy temple which was full and the feelings of enjoyment continued throughout the evening and concluded at the Festive Board with short but heartfelt speeches expressing gratitude to all those who had had a hand in preparing this event so soon after Installation.
